Kids Teens Acting

Breaking the Routine   (ages 10-13)

This class is about fun!

The instructor uses the art of theatrical improvisation to offer kids an exciting means of tapping into and expanding their imaginations.  Students will be encouraged to use their imaginations as they create characters, build scenes and invent whole worlds without ever using a costume, prop or set piece.  Improv also nurtures important life skills such as listening, focusing, thinking on their feet and thinking outside of the box while learning problem solving within a group environment.  The classes are not only a lot of fun.  They are terrific for socialization and interaction in a non-competitive environment.

Students also learn:

  • Self Confidence
  • To be a team player
  • To find satisfaction supporting others in a non-cpmpetitive environment
  • To be relaxed and confident in front of an audience or group
  • Not to rely on others for validation
  • To trust their own judgment
  • That failure can lead to growth

These are some of the tools that will serve students of Breaking the Routine Improv for the rest of their lives and all the while having fun!
